TRACKED RAPIER

TRACKED RAPIER

The Tracked rapier system was originally designed as part of an arms deal for the Shirr of Iran, but when he was over thrown the order was cancelled.  The project would have been scrapped if the British Army had not shown an interest.

There are two variants or tracked Rapier; Tracked Rapier and Tracked rapier B.  The B variant is identifiable by the additional box fitted to the front of the vehicle above the gunners window.

TRACKED RAPIER B

The B series of vehicles will never be privately owned as a dispute between America and the UK over who owns the Chassis has meant that because the Chassis is of American design the vehicle can never be sold and must be scrapped.  This means that this is one of the very few vehicles remaining.
